Source of Hope Foundation Supports J Street

​A longtime New York City resident, Stephen Robert is a retired financial executive who served as the chairman and CEO of Oppenheimer Group, Inc. Stephen K. Robert is also a founder of the Source of Hope Foundation.

Source of Hope Foundation supports the mission of J Street, a nonprofit liberal advocacy group that promotes diplomatic movements for ending the Isreali-Palestinian conflict. Pro-peace, pro-Israel Americans established J Street in 2007 with the ultimate goal of ending one of the most enduring conflicts in the world. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict began in 1948.

J Street strives to promote United States policies that uphold democratic values and are poised to build a multi-state consensus that will ultimately facilitate a peaceful resolution of the long-standing Isreali-Palestinian conflict. The advocacy group has established multiple college chapters across the United States and equipped Congress with pertinent information for establishing public policies that favor democracy and diplomacy. J Street recognizes Source of Hope's shared commitment to its mission and presented the Peace and Justice Award to Source of Hope in Washington, D.C.
