Brookings Foreign Policy Program

Stephen Robert is the former chairman and CEO of Oppenheimer Group Inc. Securities in New York City. He and his wife, Pilar Crespi Robert, are founders of the Source of Hope Foundation, an organization that supplies water, food, health care, and education to people in need. Stephen Robert is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institution.

Brookings' Foreign Policy Program is a prestigious center of policy-relevant scholarship that examines the major powers' reordering of geopolitics and the unstable relations between transnational actors and states. The aims of the Foreign Policy Program include observing changes in world affairs and the difficulties they may constitute to the foreign community, and guiding principles and organizations in the United States and beyond that support continuous peace, safety, and wealth.
